*SESSION-for Newborn

How to prepare for nudie & almost-nudie newborn & infant baby portrait:
A few days before shoot:
- Choose session appointment at a content time of day or evening. Do not worry though, you or your baby will not be rushed.
- Babies do not sleep on stomach, so allow baby to get used to being on stomach during wake time. Babies are swaddled most of the time as well. Allow baby to get used to being in the nude & on a firm surface. Practise in a nice warm room, on a big towel or blanket on the floor or carpet. Put baby on tummy, on back, and propped on side regularly during this awake practice time. (This is a great time for parents to just stare at their precious babe.)
The morning of shoot:
- Clean nose & mouth & nails.
- Massage baby oil onto scalp & arms & legs to give your baby silky soft skin, and to reduce dryness and flakes.
- Dress baby in loose-fitting clothes & diapers, to reduce clothing creases in baby's skin. Avoid tight fitting socks & shoes (like Robeez).
- Baby should be recently fed, but not too well-fed, just go through your regular routine.
- If baby is going through the baby acne stage, you may want to re-schedule session until after the bumps have gone down. If not, I can remove the minor rash and bumps with digital magic, but when the work is extensive there may be some additional processing cost to retouch the photos.
