I always have "Donna's favourites" from every client portrait session. And I want to be able to display these best images for promotional and illustrative purposes in my studio, in my portfolio, on my website and in print. For this reason a photo model release is required. (Clients may op out if they wish.)

I may finish them with a variety of artisitc effects, enter salons (competitions) and to use photos in my marketing plans. Also there may be an opportunity to use them in advertising, or to include an image in a product such as themed calendar.

Model Release

Whenever I take photos in a public place or at an event, I attempt to get a Model Release Form signed whenever possible...particularly when only 1-3 people are in the photo, are the prime subjects of the photo, and are recognizable.

Do you recognize yourself or a member of your family, on my website?

If you recognize yourself or your family in a photo on my website, and you would like the photo removed from view, please contact me and I will be happy to oblige.

Sometimes I capture a wonderful candid shot, and I don't get a Model Release, but it is OK as the people are unrecognizable.

Sometimes I take a photo of attractive people and touching moments, that I like very much, but missed the opportunity to get a Model Release signed. And I have many regrets later, that I didn't take the time.
